Jada Pinkett Smith didn’t hold anything back from the premiere episode of her Facebook talk show “Red Table Talk” by bringing on Will Smith’s ex-wife as her first guest.
Jada sat down with Sheree Fletcher to have an honest and open conversation about the difficult time they faced trying to become a blended family.
Jada started dating Will while he was still married to Sheree and they shared a 3-year-old son at the time. Jada and Will have since been married for 20 years.
Jada admitted, “Because I did not understand marriage, I did not understand divorce, I probably should have fell back,” and Sheree jokingly replies, “You Think?”
The women recall the moment Trey, Will and Sheree’s son, met Jada for the first time and got emotional as they realized how far they’ve come as a unit.
Sheree said, “So Trey comes home and I said, ‘How did you like Miss Jada? ’He said, ‘I really liked her, Mommy.’” Jada then said “Oh my God” and started to cry. Sheree reached out and began to tear up and said, “Thank you for loving my baby.”
