A source close to Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West insists the couple is in a “really good place” following his controversial comments about slavery being a choice.
“His album is getting good reviews. He addressed a lot of issues and topics,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “Especially on his mental health, so it’s almost a bit of a relief that it’s all out there now.”
The news comes after Kim told Extra on Monday that Kanye’s new song “Wouldn’t Leave” helped them mend their marriage issues.
“I know what he meant and I know his heart," Kim said. "So, ultimately, after about a week, I was calm…I think he explained it really well in the song.”
On the track, Kanye recalls his wife’s reaction to the slavery comment, saying, “Had to calm her down ‘cause she wouldn’t breathe/ Told her she could leave me now/ But she wouldn’t leave.”
