Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2018 Video Music Awards this month.
The “Dinero” singer revealed the news live on MTV with Sway Calloway on Tuesday, followed by a Facebook Live interview on MTV’s official page.
“It is amazing, honestly,” Lopez says of the recognition. “Growing up on MTV and watching all my idols get this award...To be the recipient this year, I can’t even believe it. I’m so excited.”
Past recipients include the likes of Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake.
The VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall on August 20.
