Nick Cannon claims that he won Mariah Carey's heart by turning down her offer for him to star in her music video.
"I told Mariah no, and people don't tell Mariah no," he recalls in a preview for TV One's autobiographical series Uncensored.
Cannon also shares that he made sure to tell everybody how much he wanted to woo Mariah.
"People were bugging, like, 'There's no way you can get Mariah Carey.' I was like, 'Watch, I'm telling you,'" Cannon says.
Word got back to Mariah and once Cannon knew that she knew, he "doubled down" on his efforts.
