Kristen Bell's "good" personality initially made Dax Shepard unsure if he wanted to be with her.
In a clip from his Off Camera interview with Sam Jones, he discussed how he "wasn't certain" about Bell when they started dating in 2007. "Do I want to be with a Christian, who has eight people living in her house for free?" Shepard recalls.
"Who has to get out of a car when there's a dog that doesn't have a leash and ruin her whole day to rescue this dog?"
What helped change his mind was the fact she never expected him to be a certain way. "She never, ever said to me, 'You could be a little better of a person,'" Shepard says, adding that he's "chose[n] to move more" in his wife's upbeat, positive direction.
Shepard and Bell married in 2013 and share two children.
