Kelleth Cuthbert, the Toronto woman who went viral as "Fiji Water Girl" after she photobombed several stars' pictures while handing out water at the Golden Globes, is now suing the brand for exploiting her newfound fame.
According to The Blast, Cuthbert claims that Fiji Water created cardboard cutouts of her after she went viral and used them as a marketing tool without her permission.
Cuthbert wants the company to stop using her likeness and is seeking monetary damages.
Fiji has responded by issuing a statement that calls the lawsuit "frivolous and entirely without merit." The brand insists it "negotiated a generous agreement" with Cuthbert after she went viral and that she "blatantly violated" it.
