Katy Perry recently took to Instagram to post a screenshot of an interview she gave to producer Greg Wells, in which he praises Perry and disses Britney Spears.
"They think she's handed a script like a Britney Spears and told what to sing. It's the exact opposite. She is telling people like me or Max Martin what to do... She's been like that since the first album," Wells said.
Perry captioned the excerpt, "It's nice when people are nice. Luv you and congrats @sirgregwells." Fans were quick to call out Perry, who in the past has made jokes about Spears' 2007 public breakdown.
"Why does Katy Perry constantly throw shade at queen Britney when Brit has been NOTHING but nice and supportive to her?" one critic wrote.
