Ariana Grande Not Attending Grammys Over Performance Disagreement

Ariana Grande is skipping the 61st Annual Grammy Awards after disagreeing with producers over which songs she would perform.

According toVariety, the pop star felt “insulted” because producers initially refused to allow her to perform her latest single “7 Rings.” While a comprise was reached, which included Grande performing the track as part of a medley, the singer pulled out after producers insisted that the second song be of their choosing.

A source close to the situation says similar stipulations were not imposed on other performers at the show.

Grande is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance for “God Is a Woman” and Best Pop Vocal Album for 2018’s Sweetener at this year’s ceremony.
