Michael Bolton, wake up!
On Monday, the singer appeared to sleep through the opening of a live interview he did with an Australian TV show while appearing via satellite from Florida.
"We're talking to the great man, Michael Bolton, who joins us now live from Florida. Good morning and welcome back to the show," The Morning Show 's Larry Emdur said as Bolton remains silent with his eyes closed.
"Michael, you got us okay?" Emdur then jokes that Bolton is "maybe just updating Instagram" before his co-host Kylie Gillies says, "Hi, Michael. It’s Kylie and Larry. We’re with you live.”
The 65-year-old Bolton suddenly opens his eyes and says, "It's gone silent," before appearing to go back to his nap. Emdur tries reintroducing Bolton, but the singer remained silent.
Afterward, Bolton denied falling asleep on Twitter, quipping, "I got my first record deal when I was 15 and I haven’t slept since!! In all seriousness, there were technical issues with the live feed and they caught me tweeting!"
