Chris Hemsworth has been tapped to play Hulk Hogan in a new biopic about the wrestler.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film reunites Todd Phillips with Scott Silver--the respective director and writer of the upcoming DC Comics movieThe Joker. John Pollono and Silver are also set to co-write the script, which will focus on Hogan’s rise and is described as an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.
Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, was the star of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the ‘80s and went on to become the face of several movies, television series, endorsements, and video games.
Bollea will act as a consultant on the movie as well as executive producer.
