According to The Blast, the pop star wants to trademark the word for merchandising purposes. She has also filed paperwork for an alternative spelling--"Okurr"--to prevent copy cats from cashing in on her word.
During a past appearance onThe Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Cardi described likened the phrase to the sound of a "cold pigeon in New York City."
