Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside of a clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday. He was 33.
According to CNN, law enforcement officials have learned that a black male in his twenties approached the rapper and his crew on foot around 3:20 p.m. outside the Marathon Store--which Hussle opened back in 2017.
The man fired multiple shots and then jumped into a nearby waiting vehicle with a separate driver, who sources say was female. The man shot three people in the altercation, who were transported to a nearby hospital where the rapper was pronounced dead.
Hussle, real name Ermias Davidson Asghedom, is said to have ties to the Crips, and police are investigating the shooting as gang-related. In the meantime, two men have posted videos on Instagram claiming they shot the rapper.
Hussle founded the record label All Money In in 2010. He has also worked with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Meek Mill and Young Thug.
He is survived by his girlfriend, actress Lauren London, with whom he had a child in 2016.
