WATCH: Sophie Turner Opens Up About Her Battle With Depression

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner admits she considered taking her own life due to criticism of her portrayal of Sansa Stark in the past.

"It's weird. I say I wasn't very depressed when I was younger, but I used to think about suicide a lot when I was younger,” Turner says in a new episode of Dr. Phil’s Phil in the Blanks podcast.

“I don't know why though. Maybe it's just a weird fascination I used to have, but yeah, I used to think about it. I don't think I ever would have gone through with it. I don't know."

Turner goes on to explain that she’s dealt with depression for five or six years and, at times, had “no motivation to do anything or go out.”

“Even with my best friends, I wouldn't want to see them,” she reveals. “I wouldn't want to go out and eat with them.” Turner adds, however, that falling in love has taught her to love herself.
