Stagecoach attendees got the surprise of their lives Sunday night when Diplo closed out the festival with a surprise appearance from Lil Nas X and a brand-new remix of his viral hit "Old Town Road."
Billboard reports that Billy Ray Cyrus was also on hand, marking the first time Nas and Cyrus have performed the song together live since teaming up for their own remix version earlier this month.
"After reports that Lil Nas X would be making an appearance at the country festival, anticipation was high," the outlet notes.
"While the track played on the speakers multiple times throughout the fest, it wasn’t until after 11 p.m. on the last day that Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus joined Diplo for the live debut of the song."
Diplo also attempted to settle the debate over "Old Town Road" and genre when he told the crowd, "Let me tell you, it's a country song."
