Amanda Seyfried has apologized for publicly criticizing social media influencer Arielle Charnas. "The only thing I'd take back is exactly how I started this debate," the actress wrote on Instagram Thursday afternoon.
"I desperately wish it hadn't targeted (or blasted) one person (there are MANY who engage in this questionable messaging) and instead started a cleaner, general conversation.” She added, "No one needs to tear anyone apart. And I regret that it's present right now.”
Seyfried addressed her original post to "all who [felt] bullied or thin-shamed” and accused Charnas of "flaunting" her lifestyle and promoting "unhealthy" body image.
