Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan have inked a deal to return as judges on the next season ofAmerican Idol.
According toThe Hollywood Reporter, Bobby Bones will also return as the show's in-house mentor. The new deals arrive three months after ABC had renewed the Fremantle-produced unscripted singing competition series for a third cycle.
At the time, Perry, Bryan and Richie had offers to return but had not closed new deals. While Ryan Seacrest has not yet signed on, ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said Monday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour,
“I do not believe he will be missing. We're in ongoing conversations with Ryan about returning, and I'm hopeful that he will."
The new season will serve as the third on ABC and the 18th season overall.
