Taylor Swift Drops Title Track To Her Upcoming "Lover" Album

Taylor Swift dropped the title track to her upcoming album Lover at midnight on Thursday. People describes the sweeping tune as one of Swift's most romantic songs ever, and speculates the song is about British boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

The couple are rumored to be celebrating their third anniversary this year, and the lyrics seem to back up that theory. “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey / But I want them all,” sings Swift.

Some fans are hoping the lyrics, “My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue,” means a possible engagement is in the works.

"Lover," follows three other singles from the upcoming release: “You Need to Calm Down,” “The Archer,” and “ME!”

The Lover LP, Swift's seventh studio album, is set to drop Aug. 23.
