After facing backlash for naming her new shape wear line Kimono earlier this summer, Kim Kardashian West has relaunched the line as SKIMS Solutionwear.
The KKW Beauty founder revealed the new name on social media Monday, writing, “After much thought and consideration, I’m excited to announce the launch of SKIMS Solutionwear.”
Kardashian also thanked all of the “fans and followers” who shared their ideas for the new name and campaign. Kardashian also posted a photo featuring a diverse group of models wearing new shapewear styles.
After being accused of cultural appropriation over the “Kimono” name, West toldThe Wall Street Journal in July that her intentions to play off her name with Kimono were “innocent.”
The SKIMS Solutionwear line is color and size-inclusive, ranging from XXS to 5XL. Some pieces include side slits in spots Kardashian West said she used to make herself with scissors.
