Dennis Quaid has spilled the beans on his romantic Hawaiian proposal to 26-year-old Ph.D. student Laura Savoie. “It happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay. It was kind of spontaneous. It was very much a surprise," the 65-year-old Quaid told Extra on Monday.
“It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan…I wanted it to be private." He added that when the moment happened, “She was actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, 'Will you marry me?' And then she fell down."
Speaking of falling down, Parent Trap fans are falling down laughing after one of Quaid's co-stars from the 1998 family film took a hilarious swipe at his future fourth marriage.
On Monday, 48-year-old actress Elaine Hendrix--who played villain Meredith Blake in the movie--tweeted alongside a headline about Quaid's engagement, "Watch out for those twins."
In the movie, Quaid tells his daughter Hallie, played by Lindsay Lohan, that he's marrying the 26-year-old Blake. Hallie then decides to conspire with her long-lost twin to get him to fall back in love with his ex-wife.
