The Swifties are surely swooning over a brand new "Lover" remix featuring swarthy singer Shawn Mendes.
On Wednesday, Taylor Swift announced on Instagram, "Well guys it finally happened: WE DID A COLLABORASHAWN...I’m so stoked that our remix of 'Lover' is out NOW!" She also added in a video, "There is a new version of 'Lover' coming. A remix featuring someone who I'm such a huge fan of who I've known for a really long time, and someone that I've always really been dying to collaborate with. So, drumroll please, it is featuring Shawn Mendes!"
She also warned fans that Mendes has "taken 'Lover' and he has rewritten parts of it, which I think is so important because I love him as a writer...His take on it is so beautiful. I can't wait for you to hear it."
In Mendes' new verse on the track, he sings, "Look in my eyes they will tell you the truth ' The girl in my story has always been you / I'd go down with the Titanic, it's true for you."
