On Monday, Versace finally decided to sue fashion retailer Fashion Nova over copyright infringement issues, according to Page Six.
The infamous, plunging gown Jennifer Lopez wore to the Grammys in 2000 and many other items have been copied by Fashion Nova, says Versace.
The Italian clothing brand calls Fashion Nova a “serial infringer specializing in ‘fast-fashion’ knock-offs," pointing out that the retailer has been sued at least eight separate times in the eight years it's been a business.
Versace seeks all profits from the copied clothing designs and wants a judge to block the retailer from ever copying its designs again.
