Awkward! Dakota Johnson called Ellen DeGeneres' bluff when the talk-show host tried to claim that the actress didn't invite her to her 30th birthday party. "Actually, no, that's not the truth, Ellen. You were invited," Johnson said during her Ellen sit down last week.
"Last time I was on the show, you gave me a bunch of s**t about not inviting you, but this year I did invite you and you didn't come."
After Ellen insisted she never received an invite, Johnson added, "Ask everybody. Ask Jonathan, your producer." Sure enough, Ellen staffers quickly confirmed that DeGeneres had received an invitation.
Meanwhile, internet sleuths determined that the weekend of Johnson's birthday was the same weekend Ellen was caught on camera attending a Dallas Cowboys-Green Bay Packers game in Texas alongside George W. Bush. Twitter couldn't get enough of the cringeworthy Q&A.
"Dakota Johnson on Ellen is exactly how some of my dates go," one Twitter user wrote, while another said, "Dakota Johnson is such a bad b**ch confronting Ellen like that."
As if all that weren't enough, Johnson also shaded Ellen by revealing that Tig Notaro performed at her birthday bash because she--and not Ellen--is the actress' favorite comedian.
