On Monday, Constance Wu revealed that she went undercover as a stripper to prep for her role in the film Hustlers, according to Page Six.
"I gave lap dances to strangers....I made $600 bucks my first night," she told a surprised Kelly Clarkson on her show.
The actress said that she used hairpieces and put fake tattoos on her neck as well. “You can’t duplicate it, the first time you walk into a club and say ‘Hey, I would like to have a job here’ and then you go work that night," she said.
She added that she even put a stripper pole in her living room for a few months to practice.
However, she has reportedly still not seen the film. In a separate interview, she said, "I thought, you know, ‘I want to focus on the present’ and not be self-critical and think too much, dwell too much on the past."
