On Monday, Reese Witherspoon shared the Golden Globes moment that made her "best friends" with Beyoncé and her husband JAY-Z, according to UPI.
"I was like, 'Excuse me, JAY-Z? ... Can I have some champagne?'" she recalled about the January event onThe Ellen DeGeneres Show. "And he was like, 'Yeah, do you want some champagne?' And I was like, 'Yes, I do.' Because clearly, he brings the good stuff."
JAY-Z sent Witherspoon a case of champagne later, and Beyoncé sent clothing from the Ivy Park collection. "Beyoncé and I are really good friends. I mean, really, really, really, really good friends," Witherspoon joked. "I mean, in fact, you might say best friends. Some might say that."
Witherspoon was on Ellen's show to publicize Little Fires Everywhere, which appears on Hulu Wednesday.
She is also hosting the nature show Fierce Queens for the new streaming service Quibi, which launches April 6.
