Remember MTV VJ-turned-actor Simon Rex? He claims he was once offered $70,000 to lie about having a fling with Meghan Markle, who he starred with on a short-lived 2005 TV series called Cuts.
“Nothing happened. We never even kissed,” the 45-year-old Rex said in a podcast interview. “It was just, like, we hung out once in a very non-datey way. She was just someone I had met on a TV show and we got lunch. That was the extent of it.”
He adds that he got the offer afterThe Sunalleged in 2018 that Markle "dumped him over his garlic breath after they [kissed] at the end of a romantic dinner."
Says Rex, “When that story broke, a couple British tabloids offered to pay me a lot of money to say a lie that we actually hooked up. I said no to a lot of money because I didn’t feel right lying and f**king up the royal f**king family.”
