The trend started with TikTok user Kallista Rowan, who changed the song's opening lyrics to, "Hey it's Delilah, don't you worry about the city / I play your music, close your eyes and it feels like you're right here with me every time / Baby I miss you, but it's fine."
Since then, scores of female singer-songwriters have also churned out their own heartwarming renditions of the hit.
