TikTok star Addison Rae Easterling has landed a major role in an upcoming remake of the teen comedy She's All That, Variety is reporting.
The film is a gender-swap remake of the 1999 comedy which starred Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook, and will be directed by Mark Waters, the filmmaker behind Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.
The twist for the remake is that it will be told from the female perspective, with Easterling taking on Prinze's role in the modern-day version of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion and the 1964 movie My Fair Lady. She'll play an influencer who attempts to turn a nerdy boy into prom king.R. Lee Fleming, who wrote the script for the original film, will also write the new script.
Easterling has 60 million followers on TikTok, making her the second-most followed person on the social media platform.
